I used to mix 2 oz of pear juice into her formula 4x a day 100% pear juice

@ariachannell, 1-2 oz yes. That what my pediatrician recommended. I’d start with one if they’ve never had it juice is really sweet

You can also try a little water, they’re allowed to have 2oz a day but no more than that, and not all at once, I wouldn’t want to do juice right away and water is supposed to help with constipation

@ariachannell, when they first start solids they can be very constipated since they’re not used to it but once she’s had it for awhile she’ll be fine, but the poop can be a bit firm, you’re not gonna have many of those messy diapers anymore just one chunk, I remember my baby screaming in the middle of the night trying to push it out the first time and ended up bleeding a tiny bit, after the first couple times you’ll be smooth sailing

@ariachannell, yeah I totally know what you mean, it’s hard seeing them in pain but you can put a little coconut oil on it and it will help it to slide out easier, coconut oil is great for the skin and diaper rashes too
