So... what are the absolute must haves for newborns? And first time moms?
I was walking through the baby sections today and I don't even know what half of the things are for. There's cribs AND bassinets. Then rockers, swings, and other little things that resemble those. What's the difference?! Which is the best way to go?! HELPPPPPP 😩😩😩😩

Bassinets are good for the first couple months if you choose not to co-sleep. They are smaller and are put next to your bed so you can reach over and get baby during the night. As they get older you transition them to the crib(I would recommend getting one that grows with the baby). I'd say necessities are a bassinet if you aren't co-sleeping, and crib. Swings and such are up to you. My son used a bouncer, swing, vibrating chair, play mat and walker.

I think bassinets are just personal choices really. I didnt have one as I had a crib and play pen. We put the crib in his room for hin when he turned a year and had the play pen in our room with us. Bassinets are only good to a certain weight. I had a swing and rock N play. I would swear by a rock N play. They really are great to have. Most things really are just personal preference, budget and space. I will say get a baby carrier it will make life easier if you have a child who doesnt like to be put down. You can slip them in the baby carrier and get cleaning done or anything else so you will have your hands free.

I second @mommywifelifestyle pack n plays will get a lot more use than a bassinet. A carrier is also great to have for the reasons she said.
