So my SO and myself are non-smokers, we both smoked at some point in life but I quit before I was getting pregnant and he also long before that.
Long story short, today I was making laundry and checked his backpack to see if there's some dirty laundry in it. In the front package I found a hat with something in it.
I pulled it out, I found a pack of cigarettes and a toothbrush and a small toothpaste. I wrote home why he's having that/ why he's hiding cigarettes. He can tell me and I don't care if he smokes. It's about hiding and lying. He pretty much just said that's not his, he found them on the floor at work and just kept them to give them to a smoker.
I'm just like, hey just tell me the truth, I'm kind of feeling insulted how stupid he thinks I am. Why is he lying and hiding. That just let's me doubt his integrity and if there's something else what he's he's hiding? Am I overreacting ?

@superchilledmom that's the whole point. I mean it's super obvious that it's his?? So we doesn't he just say yes ?? And that it was drives me nuts, what let's me think, "hey is there more you're hiding? I thought were honest to each other "?

@0711_sandra, yea I agree... it CAN happen that he really did find them lmao but you should know if he is lying and most of the times we do know... men lie about dumb shit all the time because they are scared of the way we will react but they dont understand that lying about it just makes it worse.. like just own up to it🤷🏻♀️ but men are SUPER childish so lol

@superchilledmom yeah I don't get it why he's just not saying" you got me I smoke occasionally" or something like that. I hate lies. And he knows that and still does it.
