Sorry for the long post!!🙈🙈This is going to sound stupid but I went for a scan two weeks ago but I went for another one before that where I couldn't see a baby internally and obviously two weeks later I then seen a baby with heart beat measuring 6 weeks 1 day I'm just worried that they have got the dates wrong I slept with someone in December I would be dated at around 12 weeks now but according to the scan I would be 8 weeks tomorrow are the scans accurate on measurements this was a belly scan?xx

They can’t really tell exactly until baby is more formed and then they can get better measurements I think they did mine at about 14 weeks properly and just gave me an approx at 8weeks

They can’t tell properly until 12 weeks. I had a scan at 8 weeks 3 days by time I had my 12 week scan they put me at 12 weeks 5 days

I slept with someone on the 12th December which would make me 12 weeks 1 day and my scan on the 23rd Feb measured 6 weeks 1 day x

@courtniek98x, obviously I had my first scan with my daughter at 12+3 and know what I'm looking for if I was 12 weeks x

You could have your dates wrong. Ultrasounds are more accurate but if your concerned your further speak to midwife or doctor

Don't forget sperm can live inside for like a week so your date of conception could be later than you actually had sex. Ultrasounds are the way that the hospital give your due date so just go with what they say x

@genieh, with the sperm staying for a week I would still be around 10/11 weeks though wouldn't I which I can't exactly be 6 weeks that was shown on the ultrasound when I would of been 8 if that makes sense as a week before that there was no heart beat or yolk x
