If you feel like you might have it I would let your doctor know so they can check your blood pressure and to see if you have protein in your urine , I started swelling very badly to the point you could press in my skin and it would stay indented and I had high blood pressure and protein in my urine , I was diagnosed with it at my 39 week checkup but was showing signs around 5 months of excessive swelling and blurred vision
It's typically after 20 weeks, protein in urine, consistent blood pressure over 140/90 (twice in a 4ish hr period, can't remember if it's 4 or 6) major symptoms, headache that doesn't go away with caffeine or tylenol. Visual changes or blurriness, ocular migraines. Heartburn that can't be fixed with tums. Extremely sharp pain in upper right quadrant of belly, by ribs. Extreme swelling. Those are all the things my Dr made me look out for.
Diagnosed with superimposed preeclampsia @ around 30 weeks(preexisting high blood pressure and new onset of protein) . Got an ocular migraine @34 weeks, then I was diagnosed with preeclampsia with severe features. I was hospitalized from 34-37. Induced at 37.

I had been on BP meds the entire time.
