So an opportunity has came before me and my husband: plan A Is continue to go active duty, which is a long process and isn’t always guaranteed.
Plan b: my grandpa moved in with his girlfriend 6 years ago and his house has sat empty. He offered it to me and my husband for what he owes in it which I think is $70,000...nice house 4 bedroom, 3full bath, ranch home, 4 acres, two living rooms, dining room, open concept kitchen, force place , finished basement...and so on...new ac system, new roof, all new appliances...it’s honestly an amazing house!! Especially did the price! We would just replace all bedroom carpet and paint that is it.
Now we don’t know what to do...be stupid to let go of this house but going active would stabilize our family financially and possibly give me my dream job :( ugh...

Why can't you do both? Get the house, settle in and then go active. Or is the job time sensitive?

@bbylopez, definitely time sensitive and we don’t want to pay for a house we wouldn’t be living in, but it would be nice to have somewhere to stay when we visit lol
