Who has the nexplanon? (arm birth control) Ive had it for almost a year but I just made an appointment to get it taken out. I feel like its messing with my arm muscle, my arm always hurts. It makes me a raging bitch and I’ve had my period twice this month. Can anyone relate?

I had mine taken out after 11 months because I had a period nonstop for literally 11 months... I went from the depo shot never having a period for almost 6 years to nexplanon and having my period for 11 months straight.. they told me it would level out after a year and I couldn’t take it anymore.. it made me extremely hormonal and agitated all the time. My experience was terrible and I would never go back to it but everyone’s experience is different. Maybe try a different contraceptive? Especially if it’s messing with your arm, I’ve heard horror stories of those being inlodged in peoples arms and needing surgery to remove it because it moved up their arm. Good luck girl!!

@tiapowlowski, i know those stories are horrible! That’s why I want it out especially because my arm is hurting because of it which is weird. I think i might go for the pill but im so forgetful..

I have 4 months with it and my arm hurts! Specially when I’m feeding the baby and she lays her head on it ouch ! I’ve gained 15 pounds already ( which I needed lol ) so I’m ready to take it out. It wouldn’t be an issue since I only have 4 months with it you think ?
