Rant: My SO named his nephew when he was born. His nephews name is Max. Now usually I don't let my SO sister and her kids get to me or allow their silly comments to bother me but, recently they keep saying things like that means they have a right to name my child. That they have 50% say in what I decide. They've gone as far to make comments about how I'm pushing it out for them. I keep telling them nicely this is my child, I am the one giving birth to her other then my SO no one else lays a claim on naming her. They aren't even taking it seriously. They've suggested names like Sinnamon, Hurrikane, (thats how they think they should be spelled as if naming my child is a joke) Nala and Simba. My issue is I've already told them what my daughters name will be. I've chosen to honor both me and my SO fathers and that should have been the end of the discussion. Then another issue I have tonight is the sister calling me fat. I'm so irritated and ready to go home.

At the end of the day what goes on the birth certificate is your partners and your decision... They can be mad... You're not obligated to name your child anything.... Idgaf what they say...

@muva.tings2018, you’re pregnant and beautiful NOT fat. You name your child whatever you and your SO want to name her. Your SO had the PRIVILEGE to name his nephew and I bet her feels honored, PRIVILEGE, that was not a RIGHT it’s a PRIVILEGE and I won’t be able to stress that enough.

@noahs.mommy thank you so much, he kind of made me feel like they were right and I really can't agree because that happened long before we were an item. You don't let someone name your child just so you can say you named mines now let me name yours and my problem with that is they didn't even take it seriously. Max is a nice name. I would never disrespect someone who has already stated they are honoring their dead father when it comes to naming their daughter. Sinnamon? Hurrikane? If they would have given proper suggestions and I had fallen in love with one of the names sure but, to give me bullshit names and suggest names from the lion king and then tell me you can do that because you have a 50% claim to my child? Foh with that bullshit. Then she called me fat and I just had to sit there like remain calm. Don't go off. Lmao.
