My Delivery Story

Tuesday September 12,2017 i went in for a usual check-up...doc said i was dialated at a 3 and i would be seeing and meeting my daughter by that weekend...she said keep doing squats and and stretching. The weekend came and left and i was STILL pregnant so Tuesday September 19,2017 i went in again this time i was at a 7 and doc said go to the hospital I was having her that day. When i finally got there they hooked me up to a iv.(It took for ever for them...they even got their best and it still took forever they had to put it in my arm.) I said no pain medication i WANTED to go all natural 2 hrs came and went and i only dialated to a 8 so doc said i needed pitocin... Every 30 minutes they raised up the dosage till my contractions were on top of each other, but my body was still not dialating. She thought i was at a 9.5 and had me push after trying to push and it not working she realized i was only at a 8. She then said i should get the epidural that it would help me relax and dialate faster...After awhile the pain started to become unbearable that i was asking for the epidural...this time they explained more to me about it...i was able to be aware and alert with it, then she also noticed my daughter was turned to much into my right side so they had me use this big yellow thing called a peanut(its used to get the baby to turn the right way for delivery) They checked me again and said my cervix was swollen and i was still at a 8 by this time i had been there 10 hrs doc said if i don't dialate soon i would have to have a emergency c-section so at 12:34 am my daughter came via c-section and even then she did not want to come OUT! but they made her. She was 6 pounds 10 ounces and 18 inches. She screamed,kicked and punched her way out. When she came out i wanted her on my chest RIGHT AWAY!!!! The nurse took her away before i could see her or anything(that nurse got in trouble for not following directions.) When i finally got to look at her and hold her it was the most awsome best feeling in the world! Almost 6 months later and i still cant believe God has blessed me with her!
