My mom can be dramatic and act a damn fool all she wants! I do NOT owe anybody the opportunity to be in the room when I deliver. If I want it to just be me and my boyfriend that’s exactly how it’s going to be. Her first grandchild or not, she hasn’t even been genuinely supportive during my pregnancy and this is MY first child and my first experience becoming a mother. I want that moment to be private for me and her dad. So how dare she still sit here and talk to me like I’m obligated to let her in there, get disrespectful, dramatic, start talking shit about me to other family members and tell me I’m ruining her first time being a grandmother. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️

I'm so sorry your mom is being that way! It is a very special thing and she should understand that it's something you want just between you and the dad!

I read about a woman who had her baby and her mom snuck in the delivery room somehow determined to be the first to hold her daughter’s baby... it’s was so sad how upset the woman was that her mom did such a thing. I wouldn’t tell her you’re in labor if you think she might be the kind of person to do something like that. 🙈 lol Maybe wait till after your baby is born so you and the father of your baby can have the alone time you need to bond before allowing any visitors. 🤷🏻♀️ My MIL tried crying about the same, but this isn’t her first grandchild so she has no right to complain. 🤦🏻♀️😂

@kittykatsmeow, it’s okay, I’m not even going to stress so much over it. I’ve been dealing with this issue with her my whole entire pregnancy.

My mom wanted to be in the delivery room. She drove from connecticut to Ohio to get there in time and I still didn't let her in. She waited in the lobby for 15 hours. While I labored with just me and my husband.

@brittany_blessing I don't understand people that thinm they are entitled to things. I did have my mom in the delivery room with my fiance and I, but my mom and I have always been super close. I talked to my fiance about it first, and we went to ask if she wanted to be there she never mentioned wanting to be there before that.

Your mom doesn’t have to be mine was due to the fact she was invoked in every thing she helped me out a lot and still does so she was there she loved it but she didn’t take over she even told me before I asked her that if I didn’t want her in the room it’s okay since it’s not about her
