Story time

Jais and I went with my husband to his doctor appointment. So, Matt gets called back and Jais and I are waiting in the waiting room. An older lady (probably late 50’s) is sitting in front of us and turns around to look at Jais and play with him. No big deal, right? She starts talking to me about how she is a mimi and how she misses her grandkids. Still, no big deal...but then...she looks at Jais and says “you want me to hold you don’t you?” And I kinda just laugh it off hoping she’ll drop the subject. But then she starts talking about how everywhere she goes, kids just love her and will come up and give her hugs. In my head I’m like “ok, cool...you’re not holding my kid” so, she keeps on talking and then says “I think he’s holding his arms out to me” woman, no he’s not. Trust me. THEN she asks “do you mind if I hold him?” She really wasn’t letting it go. So, I said “no, sorry but I think I’m going to hold on to him” she laughs and goes “yeah some parents are really picky.” 😳🤨 I wanted to say “no, I’m not being picky. We are in a hospital, you are a stranger. I’m not just gonna hand my kid off to you” Thankfully Matt came back at that point because me and my picky self was starting to get kinda annoyed.
