Co-sleeping? Pros? Cons? Risks? What age is it said to be safe and ok? I have never been for this....but some nights it's almost impossible not to...just a never ending cycle of rocking and putting down, rocking and putting down, so forth and so forth. ...and this mama needs some sleep. 😴

I hear it’s a hard habit to break and it’s still technically considered unsafe, you may be able to work your baby into crying it out for short periods of time until she can fully figure out how to self soothe

@thatmomwithahothusband o have seen those I think. Do they kind of look like a bassinett? Not sure if she would even stay in that. It's definitely rhe act of being held right under my arm and right on my chest (right side ) that keeps her asleep and snug. She just loves being held! 😣

I’ve co slept since a newborn. For the first few months I had a co sleeper that I would put in the bed. My husband worked nights so I had enough room to sleep. I’m a light sleeper so I woke up to every movement. Almost 2 years later and I have feet in my face 🤣

@gabriellerene I know, I know. I have always been the person that has said I would never do this...but then again this is my first baby, and when it comes down to it...you'll do just about anything for both you and your baby to get decent sleep. She does go down in the pack and play initially for about 3-4 hours..then after that she just doesn't say down after I keep trying

@morgyporgypudninpie I know, I always thought I could be strong with the crying it out, but I grt anxiety just thinking about it.

4 months is a little young to expect them to sleep longer than 3-4 hours. I co slept with my oldest until she was like 3. Had no issues transferring her to her own bed.

My son slept with us since he was born , and he’s one still sleeping with us ... do u have your baby on a schedule currently?

@italmama111, trust me I’ve been in your shoes, I heavily considered co sleeping too but in the end I just couldn’t risk the safety of my child. And yes it’s in our nature to run to our child the second they start crying and I’m not saying just let them cry til they pass out but if you don’t start drawing lines now you will have one very attached baby, your baby is a little young but at 4 months they are able to learn to self soothe. As long as you are certain all of her needs have been met there’s nothing wrong with setting her done in the pack and play and letting her cry for 5 mins before running to her

@jellybeans_mumm oh yes, she kes great with bedtime routine! She will initially go down for 4 hours on her own in her pack n play next to our bed...then second half of the night she usually is snuggled with me

You need to keep her with that routine my son has been on a nap and bath bedtime routine since about 3 months .. he knows when bath is nap and bedtime... he didn’t start sleeping through the night till about 8 months tho ... I would say try the co sleeping I was so scared to cause the stories I’ve read but it’s so worth it to me.. they want the parents warmth ❤️

I’ve been co sleeping since my baby was born. We still co sleep and she’s almost 10 months. It’s just so much easier then having to get up lol. But I made sure She has her own blanket so if our blanket moves it wouldn’t cover her face.
