On top of that my Dr said I was 70% effaced yesterday so I said I could be dilated by now and she said that’s not possible because my water hasn’t broken 🤦🏻♀️ excuse my language but bitch I didn’t say I was about to go into labor but some people’s water never breaks the Dr has to do it for them. Makes me so ill she acts like she knows everything cause she had damn children 26 years ago!!! Boop.

You can be dilated & effaced at the same time. 😂 She needs to retire.

The fact that she said “not possible” is ridiculous. Literally anything is possible. Every pregnancy is different and hundreds of women go into early labor every single day. Sheesh that lady is nutso. 🤦🏻♀️ If you start feeling any type of cramping I would ask for a different doctor to check you

Yeah I was 60 % effaced and 3cm dilated when my dr broke my water. Someone needs to go back to school

For the record, my water didn’t break until I was like 3 hours into hard labor. My boyfriend was massaging my lower back and suddenly I felt a pop and was like, oh shit I forgot that water breaking was even a thing because I was so deep into labor already 😂

when i got to the hospital i was 5cm and dilated to 10 within half an hour and my water had to be broken. So yes you can be dilated and effaced without water breaking
