Anyone on here taking CNA training classes ?

@keepingupwithkai, are the classes hard ? Is it a lot of out of book

@madismommy, class isn’t hard at all, just preparing us for state boards, where it gets kinda hard is studying for your state boards. We start clinical next week and I’ve heard that was hard because we will be working at an actual nursing home

Oh okay! I’m taking my classes at an actual nursing home ! I heard it’s just a lot of common sense lol! Is it all hands on or is it out of book work?

@keepingupwithkai, did you do all book work the first week?

@madismommy, yes lots of book work and skills to prepare for the state boards written part.

@keepingupwithkai, and then hands on the second week? And what do we do the 3rd week? Are you doing the 3 or the 6 week?

We started January 11th, so January 11th-March 8th we have been doing skills and preparing for the state board written exam then from March 8th- May 17th we will be at clinical sites. School is 2 days a week though so the process is much longer.

Ohhhh’ yours is much different from mine! I’m doing the 3 week and I go every day from 7:30 to 3:00 ! I wonder if I’ll be doing the same as you! @keepingupwithkai,

@madismommy, we have the 3 week one but it’s for summer time only and i didn’t wanna wait 😩 lol but i wonder if it will be the same 🤔....when do you start again?

I start on Friday ‘ and I guess I’m gonna be learning CPR lol! I’m so excited! & I totally understand I can’t wait to get my license and my job! @keepingupwithkai,

@madismommy, that’s what I’m excited for too! My goal is to work couple months as a CNA then start my prerequisites for LVN.....i got my CPR certificate on the first day too lol
