If I ask he will. But I'm pretty particular about how things are done so I don't ask often 🤦

My husband just gets upset if I ask him because he’s like I’ve worked all day long and I make all the money don’t you think I’m tired too I’m not cleaning up the house that’s your job

He should take pride in his home just like you do. Not all the time but when you're tired he should be there to pick you up! That's what being an adult is. If he wants to work then just go home to fiddle his diddle he can go back to moms 👋

Mine does. Sometimes he’s slow as hell about but if I ask him he does it. If I’m gone or something he always cleans up before I get back. I think it’s 50/50. It’s something we discussed before we got married so we knew what we were expecting from each other.

I think every family has a different system that works for them, but “works” should mean that both partners feel supported and agree to the system. If you don’t feel like that then the system isn’t working and he should be willing to reevaluate it, that’s what a healthy partnership looks like.

For us my hubs does dishes, garbage take-out, and cleans his downstairs man-cave. We split laundry 50/50. I do vacuuming, bathrooms, kitchen, any of the other main living area chores. It works for us, but if it stops working I know he’ll be willing to try something else, that’s the most important part.

I hope you all can work out something that works for both of you!

On weekends my hubby helps clean the house. He works 12 hour days so i try not to ask him to do much during the week.

Mine helps. He takes out the trash, most of the time is the one to mop, and we both do laundry. He's the only one working right now and works long hours, so i can at least take care of our place if he's doing that. When we are both working he does a lot more.

With mine I have to ask him million times to just take it out the trash
