Hi ladies.. Just need some advice on this. Snow is quite bad in London but not as bad as up north. Usually takes me 40 minutes drive to get to work on a good day and I work in a school. Could get bus but that would be two buses and a walk to get there. Being 6 and a half months pregnant I'd rather not risk it. Am I within my rights to say I'm not coming in as I feel it's unsafe? The school isn't closed and they expect all staff to come in regardless of weather.

It's up to you :) but if you can take the car it wont be a bad I guess :) But yeah I think they will understand...We rarely get snow anyway...:) x

If you don’t feel safe going in then I wouldn’t, I’ve got cousins in London and their schools been closed for the day so must be a bit of snow x

Hey hun, your baby comes first regardless of your job, remember the ground gets icy & wouldn't be good if you accidently slipped.
I would be extra cautious if going in though.

@winterbaby95 I can take car but my point is its choca in traffic and there's been accidents on road already. Work have asked if I can come in when traffic calms down. Not that that will stop roads being icy etc. They're pissing me off tbh

@nix yeah I was thinking that safety comes first and I did try to go in but turned back as it was too much on roads. Also got to think about getting back home aswell x

@rochelledacostabest, listen baby first!! The roads are dangerous, and pregnant driving is hard enough on a good day. One day wont hurt!!

I can't speak for driving as I don't drive but when I was pregnant I wouldn't have walked if it was bad. I wouldn't risk slipping over. So depends how happy you are driving in it I guess.
