Hello Everyone!! I have a question. Has any of you experienced a head concussion with your toddler? How did you deal? My son fell on Wednesday and immediately had a seizure. He had a second one at the ER. They did all test and labs and everything was fine. We had him transferred to a children’s hospital where they diagnosed the incident as a severe concussion. My question is how long would recovery be for a toddler? He only speaks a few words and is very active. Literally jumping off the walls. Drs told me a few days would be fine but now I am constantly behind him trying to prevent him from hitting his head.

Omg!! Now I am scared. My kid is 2 years old and he is very active. He has already fallen, you typical running jumping fall with no side effects after that. They did do CT scans, X-Rays, Labs and a EEG to test for any seizure activity and all was negative. I am just so worried about it happening again. Thank you though for giving me a heads up.

6 months my daughter had the same thing happen to her when she was 1 she got knocked down by her 4 year old brother, fell and had a siezure then passed out from the exhaustion of the seizure. Ambulance came and they ran cat scans and mri and found nothing. Every time she barely fell on her button from learning to walk, she fell into a seizure so be prepared for that. I kept taking her back to get tests for them to tell me nothing is wrong. Im like then why everytime she barely falls she goes into a seizure then passes out. Finally after 6 months of this going on, they found the concussion and said it was healing but thats why all this was going on. Its the scariest thing ever because after the seizure they pass out and look dead. Its hard for a mother to go thru with her baby.
