I did a deep clean of the bathroom in the shared house we live in last Saturday (probably the first time anyones ever done it) and still haven't got to use the shower I cleaned... Oh but everyone else has.
I know it sounds gross, its been over 3 weeks since I've had a proper shower (YAY FOR BABYWIPE BATHS)... of course Mowgli gets clean- not as often as I would like though because I have crippling anxity to bathe him while home alone- I want to bathe WITH him to bond, hes almost 7mo and I still haven't because again crippling anxiety...
the husband has showered atleast once a week+. Everytime I mention taking one (if I'm not in cronic pain, mentally/physically exhausted, have the energy, or if I'm able to stand for more than 10 min at a time) he the complains that he needs one...Fine then- what the fuck ever -go on - I'll just sit here and rot.
The only time he helps push the motion of me showering is when I can no longer function to do the motions it takes to get clean.. So needless to say it doesn't happen.

Have you tried showering when the baby is asleep? I used to bring the bassinet in the bathroom with me and shower while he napped

@keepingupwithkai thats a good idea you have with the bassinet ! I was wondering today if he would be willing to kick it in the carseat long enough for me to do so... I think I'll give it a try :)

@familygrown, car seat works just as great! And the sounds of the shower may be soothing to your baby and make him sleep longer lol my son LOVES the sound of the shower water running lol

Do you have a shower seat? It might help you out so you don’t get so worn out while showering. And i second bringing baby in the bathroom with you. We’ve put him in a jumper or a pack n play in the bathroom and just play peek a boo or play music
