My first baby was formula fed because he was rushed to the nicu and my milk dried out quick. I tried pumping as much as I could but eventually I dried out. With my daughter I pump (working mom) and I take lactation supplements, but she also latched right away. I can say that I DO see the difference between a formula fed and breastfed baby. My daughter is 3 months and fits into 6-9 clothing. She looks healthier than my son did at 3 months. My son to this day does not fit 2T pants or shorts. If you moms can pump or breastfeed for at least 3 months I highly recommend! Do not give up! I know it’s hard at first! I know it fucking hurts like hell, and your nipples will probably get chapped and bleed, but the benefits are soooo worth it! Trust yourself trust your body! No better food than the one you produce yourself for your baby.

Unfortunately due to medical reasons I was unable to pump and even when I tried I only was able to get 1-2oz after an hour. My son is happy, healthy, and waaaaay advanced and he is formula fed. He's 4 months old weighing 19lbs and 27inches and wears mostly 6 months clothes. Not every situation is the same and I feel some people (not you directly) shame us mom's who can't no matter how hard we try to breastfeed. Fed is Best to be quite frank. I met this mom on the bus whose son is a lot smaller than mine and he is exclusively BF. It just hurts to see how people get when no one knows everyone's story

@reddroses14, yes I agree. I personally have never been shamed because my son was formula fed, but it was difficult to find him the right formula. He ended up on nutramigen. :(
