Hi I'm Amber. I am new to this app. I am in a high risk pregnancy my OB send to me 2 high risk doctor. They prescribed me Makena shots once a week. I am trying to get information about them from other mothers that have used this medication and how their babies are...
My experience wasn’t bad my second time around minus feeling I’d never go into labor my first time I did have itch patch on the site sometimes but nothing major remember every body reacts differently hun
Thank you for your information. I am happy to hear that your baby is doing good. And you have to keep me updated and let me know when you deliver your next one.💟💟
Some people I have heard get moody with them, I didn't feel any different though.
I got them last pregnancy from 20 something weeks till 36 weeks. I delivered at 39 weeks. My daughter is doing great. She's about to be 2 in May. I started makena injections this pregnancy since like 13 weeks, I get my last injection tomorrow. The medication is thick so you might and might not feel a little pain. If you get a ball in the injection area massage it so it can properly dissolve. After awhile you get used to it. You can put a warm cloth on the area for aches.
@ansturner15 I sure will. Monday I get admitted to get my cerclage removed. It's usually a 50/50 chance I go into labor or I could just deliver later on. We shall find out Monday. Like I mentioned with my daughter i delivered at 39 weeks. Hoping this baby too.
