I see a lot of "if she's too young to wear that. She's too young to be sexualized girls should be able to dress for the weather" and while yes that's true. There is an extent. Young girls should still dress appropriately. I saw a young girl. Maybe 8 in a spaghetti strap(that's fine it's hot) and shorts. Which would have been fine IF her butt cheeks weren't LITERALLY hanging out. I don't even wear shorts that short. Well not in public. There is a difference between appropriately dressed for age and weather. And just not giving a shit what your kid wears in public.

When I worked at Kroger, this girl was wearing a tank top but showing her bellybutton and wearing those short shorts. She looked like she was barely going to 5th or 6th grade. I was in disbelief on how her mother let her wear that. She was pretty much revealing so much

@marita97 it honestly doesn't make since to me. No there isn't a reason to be ashamed of your body. And being comfortable is important. But does modesty not exist any more? I mean sure I wear some cleavage tops but I've never been one to show off my whole body like that.

I agree with you. Modesty is dying now. These days, its about showing off the whole body and having the "perfect body"

@marita97 exactly. But you'd think these girls' moms would monitor their clothes. I know it's harder to watch teenagers but I'm sure they still buy all of their ten year olds clothes.

I always wonder how these girls' mom let them. Do they think its appropriate? That unwanted attention will not happen? There are predators out there that want them...

@marita97 thank you! It scares me how careless some moms are. My daughter will be raised to be proud of her body but to also respect herself and not show everything. I live in TN. So yes it gets hot. But you can still be appropriately dress and comfortable without having your butt shown to the world.

Yes! There is no need to show. What's so good about showing butt to the world? I see so many doing that and even celebrities. I feel like that sends the wrong message. Young girls see celebrities and many more famous people showing so much skin and think its okay

@marita97 that's because sex sells. I'm really afraid for our children's future. I worry that child abduction is gonna keep going up. And that so many more teenagers are gonna become parents.

Its really worrisome. I want a better future for my son and many children. I'm even terrified of the day when my son will start school. All the school shootings are getting worse and worse
