So my cat hisses at new people all the time. And I am worried he might do the same to the baby and try to swipe at her. I told my fiance that if I don't like the cats behavior with the baby we might have to find it a new home. Am I being unreasonable? Because to me the baby is number 1 while cat is number 2.

I don't think you are being unreasonable. Your baby is always number one priority so don't feel like it's a bad option. While it's always sad to get rid of our animals, you never know, the cats behavior may change once baby comes.
