So, my daughter has always been a “sleep in her own room” kind of kid. Horrible sleeper, but never a co-sleeper. In the last month or two, she’s all of a sudden started crying at bedtime and demands to sleep with my husband and myself. She goes right to sleep, but its weird to me that she’s all of a sudden wanting to be with us. Nap time she does fine. No issues there, it’s just nighttime. Is this normal? Should I let her cry it out? She’s still in a crib (it works for us 🤷🏼‍♀️), but she will cry and whimper for a solid hour if we let her. About 15/20 mins in, I give up and put her in our bed and she’s out like a light.

I let my daughter cry it out. I of course after 10-15 min check on her to make sure she is ok. The first few nights were the worst but now she cries maybe 5 minutes if even that and falls right to sleep. I also have a sound machine that I use in my daughter's room to help her sleep.

Yeah, we have a box fan that makes a loud whooshing sound. Her bed time essential oils, and zero light. But, it’s just a matter of wanting to be with us, I guess. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Tomorrow night I’m going to let her go for an hour and a half before I give up. 🤞🏼

@jennatess I know it's hard. I hated hearing my daughter cry but now I am very thankful that I let her cry it out.
