Any of you mamas have a hubby or SO that is a corrections officer? My boyfriend starts the Academy in April and I just wanna get a head up on the process and life.

My bf use to be a correctional officer and it wasn’t too bad at first he loved it but than he saw some crazy things after being there years that just got to him mentally and he just couldn’t do it anymore, he ended up leaving the job and had PTSD. had nightmares and everything but everyone is different! He’ll be fine 😊

@lexirosex3, I’m just worried about the shifts mostly. Right now he works 3rd shift and that’s fine. But i know they can just change his schedule whenever and for however long 😔 He currently works hospital security and has seen some nasty stuff!

@morgyporgypudninpie, i can completely understands that. That’s pretty much how my boyfriends job is now. He gets a lot of repeat offenders he has to deal with. Except at a much lower pay grade. I’m just worried about the way longer shifts i know he’ll be working. Especially since our state is short about 400 COs since we had a hostage/inmate take over last year
