What's the medication? You may have to send him to bed with a sippy of water and do your best to comfort him. Sometimes ill rub my sons back or head and sing to him with the lights off.

@kambam, it’s for a UTI I didn’t really have a safe option for medication , & I’ll do anything to comfort him I just can’t feed him before I start taking it I’m gonna do one day of pumping hopefully I can mix it half and half with milk and see if that will help him , if not I’m going to be rocking him to sleep because I don’t know what else to do. Lol

Its gonna suck for a while no lie... if my son is really bad we go for a drive. If someone else is around to do bedtime and nights it might be helpful so that he doesn't fuss for you to comfort him as much

Call infant risk and see if the medications are safe. Doctors dont have a clue

Most times you dont need to pump and dump at all. they prescribe some strong medication to moms after birth and they breastfeed

I’d call and ask. You’d be surprised there are more meds you can take while breastfeeding than there aren’t
