I have a question is it safe to use the Vicks add in on the humidifier for 2 week old or should just let the water run…

I would let the water run if it were me.

I’d definitely use it. Just maybe use a little less then you normally would. But I use all kinds of scents in my humidifier ever since my baby was born. She’s just fine.

BUT, if you feel more comfortable waiting till she’s 1-2 months old, that’d be okay too !! 🤙🏼

@joleynnettles well he's 2 weeks old will be 3 weeks on Wednesday and he's very congested you can tell He has alot of mucus

@lenorsierra21, I do recommend it. It won’t make him sick or hurt him. Worst come to worst, he doesn’t personally like the smell but I doubt it. Lol. But again.. totally your decision.

As long as it’s not touching his skin or he’s not ingesting it (which I HIGHLY doubt you’re going to do) I seriously think it’s alright to use in your humidifier.

Do get his mucus out somehow ?

@joleynnettles we I tried that blue thing they give you to take our the boogers but he just starts gagging and it freaks me out so I hoping the Vicks in the humidifier will kinda help !

@lenorsierra21, my baby hates that too. I always just do it quickly. Just get it out and over with

I read that using Vicks with a baby can cause sids. Their airways are small and it affects them differently. I'd call a Dr to be sure. It seems like everything you do can cause sids so I try to always get a pediatrician's opinion.
