Can epidural really slow down your labor and make it longer?

@kitchenmichelle6 I had the epidural and was in labor for 18 hours and it took me 4 hours to push my baby out so it was harder on me but it was worth it because I don’t tolerate pain very well

It only makes it longer cause you can't assist with the contractions and help push. So it honestly just depends. Every mom is different

It sped mine up. It helped me relax which helped me dilate. Before it i wasn’t dilating, then after i got it i was able to relax & my labor went quicker

It can but not always. It slowed mine down the second time but didn't the first time.
