Lately Liam has been waking up every night and will stay awake for hours before he will go back to sleep. There is nothing wrong with him and he just wants to play. A friend of mine who is going through the same thing with her daughter who is close in age sent me this link about split nights. Has anyone heard of this or experienced it?

My son does this at least 4 times a week. We started putting 1 toy ( a monkey that reads specific books) in his crib so he wakes up, calls out for myself or daddy and then when he notices that we aren’t coming he plays with the monkey until he falls back asleep ( usually about 2 hours) I have a video monitor so I’ll watch him and he’s fine. I just let it be.

Omg my son has been doing the same thing. I would put him to bed at 10 , he would then wake up at 12 & stay up & wanna play until 4 .

Calyssa is doing the same right now as well and honestly it is super annoying ugh glad I’m not alone @meghan.brophy, but I would also like answer as to why this is happening. Growth sprout maybe🤔
