The nurse told me to put my baby near the window to get sunlight for the jaundice and when I told the dr that's wat I'd been doing he basically laughed at me and said it's too cold to put my baby near a window but that he does have a lot of jaundice I'm pissed because I'm following the medical advice of ur nurses and it's obviously wrong making me have to stay longer for something that probably could've been avoided and ur acting like I'm the crazy one #venting #pissed

I put my daughter near the windows when ever sun was coming in when she was jaundice because I couldn't take her outside in the winter. Its not like we are actually placing them on the window, just near it. I always stuck her cradle near a sunny window and she would nap in the sun.

Yeah my daughter had it when she was born, low enough we were allowed to leave but when I went to her doctor three days later, her count was very high and they made us go right back to the hospital and she was in there for five days.

Its not wrong, it will help. Breastfeeding also helps so that their liver is flushed quicker. Or something like that.

@isabellesmomma212, yeah my oldest son had it too but not this bad I put him in the sun he was fine but like now they're letting us leave but I'm worried now with the conflicting info I'm just hoping that he will be okay by Friday when he gets checked back out 😟
