They basically control your contractions with the amount of Pitocin you get. The first 10 hours were fine for me. But when my labor wasn’t progressing as fast as my nurse would’ve liked, she upped the dosage so high I was screaming for drugs. Don’t let them bully you would be my advice. I just had a bad nurse 🤷🏽‍♀️
