Why has Valentine’s Day suddenly become a day for women. A day they expect extravagant gifts from a husband or boyfriend?
You’re making him DIY gifts and buying him his favorite candy bar (something he can buy at the gas station) but YOUR expecting something more than that..like a diamond ring or necklace or a dozen roses (let’s face it, they are stupid expensive).
Why can’t it be about spending time with him, at home, one on one and eating his favorite dinner? Or both of you favorite dinner? Or a night alone without kids? When did this “holiday” turn into an extra Christmas or anniversary. I guess me, being a simple woman, will never understand. 🤷🏼♀️

YES!! After working in a flower shop during Valentine’s Day, the amount of money men pay for an arrangement or a dozen roses is absolutely ridiculous. I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t expect anything but just a dinner. He cooks for me every Valentine’s Day, and it’s not always something expensive. Last year we had pizza, it’s just the thought that counts.

This yeah my fiancé and I will be in different cities because of my doctors appt... and before I left today he gave me a deck of cards and typed on the front was “52 reasons why I love you” and on each card was a different reason ❤️. Seriously the best present ever! He gave it to me and said “since I won’t be able to be with you tomorrow here is this until we actually celebrate”. Which I think what he did was plenty! I much rather get random flowers/flower (of any kind) or “act of kindness” than tomorrow just because “you’re supposed to”
