@jleona, my son talks but I know some girls his age says more than him. But I’m not sure if he’s delayed or to see once he turns two which is next month to see if his speech becomes clearer
The sooner, the better in a way. They can get the help they need sooner, rather than waiting to see if they finally hit milestones at age 3, 4, etc. At age 2, they should be saying at least 50 words. If he isn't speaking half of that, he'll probably be recommended to take speech therapy. (My source is my daughter's pediatrician and also her speech therapist.) But don't compare him to others. There will always be someone more advanced than him. That doesn't make him delayed though. Bring up any of your concerns to his doctor and see what they recommend.

I put my oldest in it when he was 2. He barely said ANY words at all. He wasn't interested in talking. It was worth it for us.

@nmc95 girls are generally more advanced than boys. I definitely wouldn't base it on that. Just wait like you said and see how things go.
