For almost two weeks now I’ve been fighting with my first ever dealings with high blood pressure. I wore the halter monitor and I’ve spent lots of hours hanging out at the dr. office and hospital for NST’s. Saturday my bp was 143/101 and the hospital dr. let me go home but warned me my dr. will probably want to induce me when I go in to see him today. I’m. so. nervous. now. 😆🤦🏼♀️😬!!!!!!!!!
@kristalaverne87 i totally get that! I have no idea how you did it without one! Kudos! Lol I was dying as soon as I got the Foley ball / pitocin!
@halifax6, it’s so hard to judge when is too soon/too late! Last time I waited too long and wasn’t able to get the epi, my husband’s ex got it too early and it stalled out her labor causing her to have to get a c-section! I’m hoping and praying for a smooth sailing delivery lol. Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with me, it REALLY means a lot!
@kristalaverne87 you'll do great! my only suggestion, since you have high BP, is that if you want the epidural, get it before the pain gets too bad and your BP spikes. When I had mine, the pain (and preeclampsia) made my BP spike about 28 hrs into my cervical ripening (lol silly term) and then I got put on magnesium sulfate, which counteracts with the pioticn. No need to worry :] just if you want it, get it before it gets to be too painful. I had a horribly mean nurse who was a huge jerk about the pain I said I was in to the point where I delayed getting the epidural and accepting pain meds that the Dr told me to take/offered cause she told me "it's too early in the process" like half a dozen times so I tried to push through, but then like I said my BP spiked. Lol :] I'm excited for you! Little one is almost here!
No!!!! My water broke on it’s own at 40+1 with my girls. I have no idea what to expect...
@kristalaverne87 oh, most definitely know how you feel! Lol have you ever induced before?
@halifax6, thank you so much. I’m super nervous but excited!
I had issues with my high BP, too. I hope yours is lower today! You'll do great, if you end up getting induced :]
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
@halifax6, I didn’t like it at all lol. I felt like I was going to die for sure. It’s worse though because you don’t die!!! I know that’s why I’m so scared now, because I remember how it felt last time. I’ll keep you posted you’re awesome.
