Personally, I wouldn’t. I don’t like to take that kind of risk, my mom has tried getting me to smoke a little or have a glass of red wine but I can’t do it. My baby is too precious to me. But on the other hand, my sister in law and her sister go through severe morning sickness when they are pregnant and they would smoke a small bowl and that would subside their nausea and morning sickness. I feel like it has some kind of good to it but until it’s been fully tested and we know the impact it has on developing babies I’ll never try it while pregnant.
I think it's abuse. And no good mother should want to put their baby in harms way. That's how I see it. It can cause you to have a premature birth and the baby and it's brain to not grow properly. I think it's selfish for any mom to want to do that while pregnant. An old friend smoked with her baby like an idiot and had her at 23 weeks. She stayed in the nicu on a cpap to help her breathe for months. It was so sad. Like why risk the babys life.
my sister smoked while pregnant. weed and cigarettes. i was a nurse for some years and kept telling her it wasn’t good to do all that and she said “i’m not quitting unless the doctor tells me something bad will happen to my kids” now her son has a tumor on his brain and he’s barely a year old. i personally wouldn’t risk it but everyone is different.🤷🏻♀️
I think is very selfish and why put uour child in harms way not only that ur baby can get tooken from u if u smoke week or ciggerettes while u pregnant u cold hearted n u selfish n u dont deserve the precious baby inside u frfr
A lot of ppl claim there are no risk. I'm a huge weed smoker bt I quit cold turkey w both my pregnancies. I just felt like I should give my kids a chance bt that's my personal choice. To each their own. No judgement zone.
Well I've read the baby gets it's oxygen from you, so I would say any smoke is bad for your baby. Also edibles go straight to your baby so I wouldn't think that was healthy either. And your doctor screens you for drugs as well, so keep in mind there may be risks associated with that if you go to give birth and there are drugs in your system. I smoked weed almost every day before getting pregnant, and even though some moms do it through out, I just did not want to chance it having any effects on my baby. And it was a lot easier to quit cold turkey knowing it's for a baby. But I'm also not drinking coffee or soda, no medicines whatsoever. I think it's really just what the mom feels comfortable with. Sorry for so many people being hurtful and mean over this question. I googled it when I found out I was pregnant. There's nothing wrong with asking a question. It's not like you asked if meth or heroin is okay while pregnant. People just like flipping out over things.
Oh and also my doctor let me know about the weed in my system since I'm barely that along and quit almost a month ago when i found out. She was really nice about it. Said the same thing that there aren't really any studies on it. Also said she has heard of mothers doing it through out. It's really just what the mother feels comfortable with. Some mothers take nausea medicine that may cause birth defects so who knows. Hope you got some helpful answers.
I really don't care.. I feel were all grown and capable of making our own decisions. Marijuana is often used for medical reasons, so it's possible that a women was already using weed way before she was pregnant strictly for the condition she suffers from.
You can get non THC medication in oils that can help you with nausea and everything beneficial that smoking weed does. I don’t think we should call people bad mothers or type of abuse for whose who go this option JUST because you don’t like it. I think we should personally explore more into the cannabis industries to get people better naturally, instead of pumping all those “FDA” approved medications that give us such negative side effects and birth defects.
I personally wouldn’t mind, there isn’t really any study proving it’s bad for your baby. I would be more worried about state taking away the baby. Definitely communicate all this with your OB.

It is risky, I think personally it is a form of abuse, just like smoking cigarettes, doing drugs and drinking.
