When do you think its a good age for your child to stay the night at someones house...being their…

I think it depends on how much you trust the person if you get what I mean? I'm used to Ellis being away as he goes to stay with his dad sometimes. With Lola the first time she was away from me was with my mum who i trust 100% and that was my wedding night last july. I didnt feel any panic. She stayed at bens parents the night Maeve was born and honestly I was a mess and so panicky about it. I dont think i would send her back there again for a night.

Caitlin's only been away for the night once, that was when I had Oliver and had to stay in but even then she was at home with daddy and my mum, I think it depends on you and wether you trust the person she's staying with, personally I don't trust no one to look after my kids, when she's older and can ask me herself then that's fine but until then she's staying with me same goes for Oliver xx

@kayteamay Yeah I think I trust my older sister...she's taken her to the park...farm etc before :) I would need to get her back into her sleep routine first. She still relies on my boob to fall asleep and still wakes every few hours in the night. So I dont know...Im not sure if I should wait until she is sleeping through..not on the boob and a bit older 🤔 But in a few years I should be living with my partner... Only reason Im thinking about having her spend the night at my sisters is because in the 5 months of our relationship...we have not really been able to have much of an evening to ourselves. She just wakes up and wants to play with him and its like 3am before she goes to sleep again xx

My parents have had a Archie round a few times! They love having him and he loves them. I think it also does him good.

@rachaellw Yeah I lived with my mum up until she passed away so Maya was always around her and loved it...but never left her overnight as didnt need to or want to. But my sister spoke to me about it recently so got me thinking xx

@winterbaby95, I think everyone needs a night off. It will do you the world off good. If she doesn’t settle then you go get her, no biggy. Maybe stay there with her first so she’s happy with the environment then let her stay on her own

@rachaellw She knows the environment and rooms etc since my older sister has moved into my mums house...so its all familiar to her. I just need her to sleep through the night first instead of waking every few hours. Xx

I found Archie slept better with out me. She will no you aren’t there so probably won’t wake up. No harm in trying? X

I think any age is ok to sleep over if they're with someone they know & feel safe with. From my experience they sleep better when at the grandparents! Lol She is waking out of habit & knows what you will give her. She knows she won't get that from her aunty lol. Also if your sister wants her overnight she needs to be prepared to deal with her waking. You could give it a year or 3 and she could still wake up... I used to sleep over at my grandparents and aunties a lot. Usually loved it. The odd time I freaked out my parents came & got me. You never know until you try 😊

As soon as you feel comfortable. I doubt I’ll see my child as soon as I stop breast feeding LOL! My sisters and little cousin will snatch him or her up!
