We had to bring them home in an infant car seat but we used a convertible from day 1 with them because they were all good on weight and they had infant insert. It was the nextfit not this kind @steffs704 Just see what your hospital requirements are...

As long as the requirements say it’s good for 5lbs and up you’re fine and fortunately this one does. @spencermomof4, not all convertible car seats start at one.

@dwampler9116 i know i was just told by our family dr not to start until like 10 months old

@spencermomof4, I’m not sure why! If they were unsafe to use for a newborn then they wouldn’t be able to sell them for use with newborns.

@dwampler9116 i would rather have a infant carseat easier get baby in and out places especially since i have 2 toddlers

@spencermomof4, oh yeah we’re using an infant for the new baby until she gets too heavy to carry in it.

@dwampler9116 well i use it mainly because my kids fall asleep in car half time and dont wanna wake them up

Thanks ladies. I saw you can rear face from 5lbs but never used a convertible for a newborn before. So I’ll definitely be looking into the hospital requirements just to make sure I can bring baby home in it
