While getting my 20 week scan. Doctors said my baby girl has a white speck on one of the chambers of her heart called EIF. echogenic intracardiac focus say its seen in baby's with down syndrome . of course I started crying and mind went blank . because im thinking of her little heart . I knew it was something because 2 doctors came in and baby girl was in a weird position and had her arm over her face she was sleeping hard didn't want to be bothered at all! . I never had my kids not show their face . anyone have there baby diagnosed with this ? What was the turn out ? . I haven't done any research because doctors said its not serious (and I don't want to scare myself) even tho to me its something. I can't do anything about it . I gave it to god she will be just fine . also they did blood work to test to see what's going on .

@herecomesbbnum4 i did recently.. During my 17 week anatomy scan they noticed a white spot on by her heart and my babies bowels are bright. They said were all small signs of down syndrome.. They had me do more testing and my results came back good. No down or anything... Its very scary but don't stress! It will be ok!

@chelseymamma. Thanks a family member of mines said the same thing happened to her and not to worry also so my mind has Ben more at ease . either way she will will be beautiful I know . but thanks so much for letting me know 😇💛

@herecomesbbnum4, I haven’t experienced this, but my brother and sil was told their baby would prob have problems(sry cant remember why they thought this, if ultrasound or cuz of bloodwork) but everything turned out fine.

My son had a soft marker for Downs on his 20wk anatomy scan, so we did additional genetic testing and it was all negative. He also always had his hands over his face. If your doc isn’t worried then I wouldn’t worry, but you can always ask for additional testing to find out for sure. I hope everything turns out alright!
