I ended up getting Pitocin to speed things up bc the epidural made my body so relaxed that my contractions started spacing out & I stopped dilating but the Pitocin ended up stressing the baby & making his heart rate drop with each contraction so they stopped it & my body did its job & I had him like a hour later. Luckily I had the epidural through it all. But I can’t really speak much on how it feels just my experience with Pitocin.
The contractions in my natural labor were worse than my induction. My induced labor lasted longer though, as did the pushing stage. I had pitocin and the foley catheter to dilate me because I wasn't dilated at all. Overall, it was just a bit uncomfortable. Pain factor, I'd rate it a 2-3. Everyone is different. Just go in with an open mind.
The contractions are bad I only took it like to 6-7 & got the epidural when they told me to sit I swear I felt like punching the nurses lol I wouldn’t want to get induced again for next time I rather wait for my baby to come on it’s own I mean all pregnancy’s are different but yeah
Pitocin contractions are the worst. All of my labors have ended in me getting pitocin because my labor stalls, and I always get so frustrated at seeing that bag being hooked up to me, because I was already in pain... and I know that it’s just going to get a lot worse with that stupid pitocin bag, so I’m just like ...yep go ahead and get me the epidural. If it weren’t for that, I probably would have never gotten an epidural.
It was very painful for me. Like she said your pretty much taking a process that should take days and going through it in hours. Everyone is different tho.
It wasn't bad to me. I had to be induced because I stopped dilating. My cervix was all the way thinned, water haf been leaking bit I was stuck at a 3.5 for 3 weeks so I was induced at 37+6. I wouldn't mind if it had to happen again. Then whole thong only lasted 7 hours
