Okay so I’m freaking out. I have a hernia in my belly button that’s going to be fixed 6 weeks after I have my daughter. It can flare up and get REALLY painful. I caved in and took 1 Tylenol 3. 2 days ago. Tonight I went to triage because of contractions and I’m 90% effaced and 1 cm dilated. The dr came in and said we found opiates in your urine. I told him about the Tylenol 3 and he said then that’s where it came from because of the codeine. Does this mean CPS will be involved now? I’m terrified. I’ve never taken anything other than regular Tylenol while pregnant and the pain was getting too much.

Not if you have an RX from them. Even if they do, you show them the RX and that's the end if that.

Honestly I don’t. It was a one time thing. I took it in the middle of the night I was just so tired of being in pain. Worst decision I’m so scared. I don’t want the state involved for one stupid mistake I made.

Then only time will tell honestly. My son's father had CPS visiting us every 3 months and one time was after birth when I was on Percocet or something and I freaked out thinking they'd make a huge deal, but since I was able to hand them the bottle with my script they didn't bat an eyelash. They'll do 1 of 3 things. Drop it, drug test you the rest of your pregnancy and as long as you're clean drop it, or report it to CPS and you'll have a case opened against you.

God I’m terrified. I’m beating myself up for it. Even with my son I never took anything like that and this was the first time I’ve ever done anything. I’m hoping that they’ll just continue to test because I’m not ever doing that again. Hell I’ll tell them to do a hair follicle test.

I doubt they'll do much against you.. my aunt is a drug addict and all three of her babies were born addicted to crack. She was able to leave the hospital with her first two baby with no issues. They didn't get CPS involved until the 3rd baby where they put them in custody of my mom and my aunts
