My son wouldn’t eat so he barely ate our whole hospital stay but they kept pushing breast and didn’t give me formula till I was leaving. And then only told me to supplement. We got home from the hospital and he was starving. Thankfully we did switch to formula cuz my milk didn’t come in till he was over a week old.

@db413 they pushed my whole hospital stay until they realized she was losing so much weight then when i brought it up to her pediatrician she said its not worth it, your milk for some reason doesn't seem to be giving the nutrients it needs to be for her to gain weight. I was like thats all i needed to hear. I needed someone to listen to me and hear that its not working right. I get sooo irritated when hospitals push breast feeding especially when we as mothers know when something isn't right.

Same thing happened to me. Lily lost a whole pound in 24 hours so formula it was after that. A fed baby is a healthy baby.

@dianne1211, I hated that I couldn’t supply him with what he needed. But the best advice I ever got was fed is best. No matter which way you do it.
