It's too early for fuckery. I'm seeing women completely terrorize, berate and destroy their fellow woman for introducing solids to this child (with their pediatricians Ok) because "the AAP said to wait". I get it. The AAP sets the gold standard for how we should raise our children. I myself do incorporate their recommendations into my every day life. However, before you try to drag the AAP into your argument about how another mother needs to be stoned to death or have their child taken away from them because their doctor said otherwise, make sure you yourself are adheering to the AAP guidelines. Did your kid get a flu shot? All their vaccines right on schedule? If your child is under 18 months, do you ensure they have 0 screen time? If they're over that, do you limit it to only 1 hour of high quality TV? No? Then leave the AAP out of it. You don't give a fuck what they say unless it enables you to tear another woman down about how they raise their child.
