I also let him cry for a set amount of time (just to tire him out) and then I would go in and get him hold him (because thats what he wanted) he would fall asleep and I was able to put him in bed . Sometimes I had to do it more than once before he was fully sleep . But it worked for me .

@snowqirl what type are you doing ? It was hard for me to let my son cry too so i modified it . I let him lay in my bed I laid with him until he fell asleep . Then put him in his bed . Find out what works for you and your daughter and adjust accordingly

Huh? Did you mean give up ? The only way to be successful is to not quit even when its hard !
