Who has O blood? I have asked this question before but I didn't have much feedback. (I asked it about a year ago) lol But.....Any mother on here with O blood and their partner with either A B or AB? Do you know about about ABO incompatibility? It does not effect your first pregnancy, but research says that it can cause problems with future pregnancies? Just looking to see if any Mothers on here have O blood? And if so does your husband have an incompatible blood type? And if so do you have more than one child child? Did you have trouble concieving? Just laying here thinking! Wondering what our chances are. Fishing for hope I guess.

@lost.sock.thief but about the shot. I have heard about the Rhogam shot I get it for my Negative blood type but I have never heard of one for O blood?

@mother.of.angels, I’m not too positive about all of that Tbh I just heard of it ya know, I just heard how there’s a shot that helps blood mix better together ((people with certain blood types used to not be able to get married due to their blood type mixing badly and causing too many birth defects and no chance of the baby surviving and I know since they made that shot people were then allowed to be married with any blood type) that’s about all I know about it pretty much

@lost.sock.thief Yeah, I have negative O and when I'm pregnant I do have to get the shot so my body don't recognize the baby as a foreign invader. Otherwise my body will attack the baby if it had positive blood. It's just terrible. But luckily they have the shot to protect the little ones now. It's amazing how everything works.

Well it's opposite here my husband is type O positve and I'm b negative and we did fine...

@raquely @themomsteroftwo O blood only effects pregnancies when the mother has the O blood, because just like when you give blood O can give to any blood type. However only O can receive O blood. An O mother has trouble carrying any other blood type bc the mothers body detects the baby as an invader and attacks the baby. An A B or AB mother can carry a baby with any blood type.
