My son who wasn’t a micropremie/premie was put on 24 cal formula and well didn’t get chunky. And he was on it for almost a year.
It’s fascinating how ALL babies are so different.
@mommytonicolas, no it was way too much for him. His pediatrician told me to go back to the 22cal because he was in so much pain. He wouldn’t poop for up to 4 days and would cry so much in pain it was horrible. Now he’s getting back to being him self again now he can finally sleep and the bumps he was getting all over his face from pushing so much are going away.

Give him the calories once he starts walking he’ll thin out.
@kambam, girl tell me about it lol his first diaper was the size of three quarters and now he’s close to a size 2! It’s almost unbelievable❤️

@kambam, girl it’s the NICUs fault lol they made sure to fatten him up before he came home. They asked us to continue him on 24cal formula but we’ve been doing just 22cal because it was too much for him. Lol now look at the results.
