My baby has had this rash in her neck for some time now and it only seems to be getting worse and spreading. I wipe her neck after feedings and have tried putting a little baby powder there to soak up any moisture but nothing seems to be working. Any advise ?

Looks like possible yeast infection on the skin. It's common in babies that have wet next from leaking bottles or drooling or sweating. It is usually found in the neck area where the folds are and in the bends of arms and knees. Normally you would treat this with cornstarch to keep the skin dry but if it becomes a yeast infection then baby will need a prescription from the doctor to treat it.

And it could also be from clothing rubbing on the neck. I'm not sure what you wash your clothes with but if it's a sensitive detergent it could cause that reaction as well. Or if the baby powder has any scent in it. My daughter had rashes like this around her neck and under her arms. It got really bad because it was in the summer months and she would sweat in certain areas. I forget the name of the topical medication the doctor gave her for it.

My daughter had this and i wouldn’t recommend Baby powder because the dry powder and wet skin will create more irritation. I used A&D ointment and it went away within two days

Always ask your Dr, but my daughter sweated a lot in this area, so I would use cornstarch or let the area breathe. I see bumps, so maybe it could be your detergent. I used to keep the area dry, any moisture can cause yest, and my baby needed special lotion to put in that area. I used to use organic pure cornstarch.
