Try skin to skin to relax him? Are you breastfeeding? If so allow him to latch and let him suck himself to sleep.

Or is he just up?

Yeah that’s normal. It will be a while before he gets used to the day and night thing.

@rachelleclister, no I'm not breastfeeding . Bottle feeding usually he goes too sleep after bottle but tonight he's acting up like something is bothering him .

@gabesmommy21, oh okay I would try some skin to skin comforting. That really helped me out in the first weeks of my newborn it would quickly put him to sleep.

The baby is too young to really understand what day and night is at that age. But to help you should start setting the scene like day and night. So when it’s day time have lights on in the house and at night make it dark or dim lighting

At a week old, babies wake up a lot. They fuss because their either hungry, dirty, or tired.

Try and keep him up during the day as much as possible. I open the windows during the day to let the sun in. Then of coarse at night its dark.
