@itsmely, is there a time frame for that for the church? I ask because I do want to do it. I am just not too fond of church establishments. Like i would love to have it done at my house.
@madukes they didn't tell me about a time limit there where kids in there who had to al least 5 or 6 but not any older them that, I'm not sure if it's different for each religion. I'm sure at your house would be a great idea!
I grew up catholic and my husband Southern Baptist....(I know two opposite ends of the spectrum😂) but we still have not had our daughter recognized in a church. I think it has something to do with us trying to move and not wanting to become a complete part of the community here....But the main reason being that we know that we are Christian, we believe in God and that he loves us, he loves our daughter whether or not she has been recognized in a man made church. We will pass on our beliefs to her and offer her resources so that one day she may choose what she most believes and wants to be part of. If we decide to in the future to be part of a certain church then she will come with us but if we don’t then we will just be sure to show her the possibilities and to be open about her thoughts to us.

@allie5982, PERFECTLY said! That is exactly how I feel. The feel of church nowadays is finance based and we just can’t bring ourselves to be included or the baby in it.
@madukes, It’s very sad that things have been made that way but really thinking about it and reading up on history....Churches have almost always been that way! We didn’t notice when we were kids because we were kids! 😂
@allie5982, I do understand the concept of the community paying tithes to their local church and that pays for the upkeep of the facility. But I kinda detached whn the minister/pastor is living better than his congregation. Whn the church board starts using the tithes to “gift” to the pastor for extremely lavish things. And they drill it every single service “pay your tithe”. I cant do it.
We had my son christened twice so that both sets of family could participate... The first was 3 months and the second was a year....I highly recommend the younger the better... my son was all over the place at his 1 year... he was screaming and stealing the Mic etc smh

There isn’t a time limit as far as I know. You could be 99 and get baptized ❤️

No time limit. I am Catholic and had Lily baptised at 1 year 2 months as a Catholic.
Ignore the comments here that tell you being baptised is ludicrous - you do what you feel is best for your child.
