Yeah, my doc said the same thing. No gender ultrasound until 20 weeks. That seems like so long to wait.

usually in first and second trimester u only go once a month unless there are other issues

you can always go to a place to get it done

I found out at 17 but was supposed to find out at 20. I know how hard it is to wait 😞

My OB told me but I was supposed to wait for anatomy at 20w. You can pay for a "sneak peek" at a 4d place and find gender. Its like 80bucks

My first ultrasound is Feb 8th and I won’t receive another until 20 weeks either. Apparently that’s the norm now. Once we see how far along I am on the 8th we are scheduling an ultrasound at an outside office to find the gender out around 16wks because we don’t want to wait either!

@keilaa I did the blood test to find out early and the ultrasound just backed it up. Or else I would have waited over a month due to holidays

Sounds normal to me. You get your initial ultrasound that determines due date and then one at 20 weeks to make sure everything is good and baby is growing properly. Anymore than that would have to be medically necessary. I got one at 34 weeks cause I fell down the stairs and they wanted to make sure he was okay.
