What kind of diaper bag ?

I washed mine just take out any loose parts from it

(Mine had a thing on the bottom to keep the bottom flat)

I’ve washed two different ones of mine before on gentle cycles and it was fine

You might have to wash it 2 or 3 times before the smell will come out

I washed it 3 times smell still in it ima buy her a new one @girlmom.,
