I got a question ladies. Let's say you have 0 money like nothing of income. You are pregnant no help and you have a friend whom buys things for your baby. Would you reject what she gets you cause you want something newer? Or kindly accept what is given to you?
In my opinion if I had zero dollars and a friend was kindly enough to help I would accept whatever I could get.
Accept what you can and when you have the money you can upgrade and if and when you upgrade you can give those baby items to another mother who may need them
Honestly though babies are going to use everything for such a short period of time
As long as it’s not falling apart or just plain nasty looking it’s not a big deal to use it why spend so much money on something they’re only going to use for a few months ya know ?
A permeant car seat that goes up to 100lbs (I’ve seen one before) I can understand you wanting it to look nice because they will use it for years and years a stroller I can also understand wanting to look nice those can be used a long time
But for the most part it’s all temporary and your baby won’t know the difference
@mami.jasmine @marchbaby2018 thats what I would think too...reason for this post was cause I have a friend in this situation so me being the type of person who's there for my friends. I got her a carseat/stroller combo, a pack and play, tons of nb and 0-3 clothes. Well I texted her to see if she'll be busy so I can go see my godson(her oldest son) and so we can hang out with them. Dude she's like oh well I don't want the stuff I don't like the color. Her response to clothes we should go to babies r us to buy everything there. I'm like this bitch hell to the nah. Shit not even I've been buying brand new expensive shit for my baby. Tf. So it triggered my anger and stopped texting with her. Thinking of selling everything I got so I can get the "expensive" carseat I really wanted and to buy my kids other things...
@lost.sock.thief I agree. The thing is everything I got her it's practically new. Like no stains, rips, some clothes has tags still...i like buying stuff in bundles (clothing wise) and super picky with things for kids.
Y'all she literally HAS NO MONEY WHATSOEVER. Doesn't work the dude hardly helps her , her dad and brothers are the same. Smh. I gladly accept what I can get for free. You know.

I had the money to buy my child whatever i wanted, and i still accepted anything that anyone wanted to give us and i freaking used it all. Some people show their love by giving gifts, but not everybody can get you top notch shit. And let’s be real, babies don’t care and they grow so fast.

@lost.sock.thief girl she's due the same week as me and has yet to buy one thing for her baby. I know I procrastinated for long while till this month to buy my baby stuff but while I was buying items I bought her things so she can have things for her baby as well. Like it don't bother me helping at all but how can you be rude or selfish lile that. I just don't understand...
@sawyersmom exactly and girl lile I had mentioned in a comment before like the carseat is used but I made sure it wasn't expired and good condition, pack and play as well, the clothes I got really good deals in bundles like 100+ pieces of clothing for $30 and most of it was like new and some had tags. So I gave her half of that bundle and then another opportunity popped up for tons of clothes ranging from nb to 18 months. Also parted clothes for her. Then for nothing...😔
That is so rude and selfish of her. Time to get a new friend honestly. If she doesn’t appreciate what you’ve done she doesn’t deserve you
@sawyersmom yeah that's what my hubby said as well. People change sometimes not for the best but time to get away from people like that. She has been my friend since I first moved down here to my area. It's sad how people become like that. She has another little boy and she wasn't like thay with him.

Not only that but to help someone like that is a selfless act and she should be grateful to know someone like you. I can't believe a mother would refuse to have something because it's the wrong color and not even being in a position to get things on her own. I had some hand me down stuff too and some of it was boy stuff. Even when I have a girl I didn't say no because a playmatt was blue instead of pink. She needs to be thinking of the well being of her little one.
@newmommabee I'm the same way I even put some of the boyish clothes on my daughter. Lol like the stuff I got her wasn't pink or girly looking it was green with blue. Carseat was blue and all the clothes was nice looking boy clothes. But oh well lesson learned...
@mommyof3kiddos right! I still have green and orange dinosaur pjs and a blue piano that she loves❤ If it's good it's good & its kinda like a diaper is a diaper even if it's not name brand lol stay kind be grateful and treat and appreciate others the way you would like to be treated too
